narcissism and the fixing of things
My main concern is not that a structure* is judged to be good/badX, or is good/bad/X because it is a structure, but that certain agents live and move through the world to suit themselves without negotiating their way, thus producing structures that suit the common moves narcissists make, even performing or doing 'structures' that can be in a confounded conflict with other structures made by other narcissists.
The implication of this concern is that we have no control for narcissism in our structures, nor in our examination of our structures, and so our understanding of structures, and the agents who world their selves among them, is completely and utterly flawed. We fail to police them, so they police us with a smug little grin.
If we can neither police them in reality, nor account for them in ‘theory’, then we are condemn to repeat history as one damned narcissist after another. The first time as a joke, the second time as repression.
The main point of inquiry here would then be, if we did police narcissists (either in toto, or in some proportion which is ‘enough’ and which is currently unknown to us)… —would then ‘structure’ matter at all. I.E. would all our arguments about structure as doing more than contextually constraining our agency, forming notions of what is socially possible for individuals, with or with a social institution of the individual, be vacuous arguments. How much and how many of our ‘structures’ are due to narcissism’s inability to tell the difference between the self and the world, the pathological inability to dance the negotiations between the self and the worlds of other selves?
I.E. do exactly that which a prosociality creates in a social learning species, i.e. everything.
Would ‘fully’ policing narcissism allows us all good lives in which structural inefficiencies or inequalities either disappear or become meaningless?
Would empires no longer rise, no longer fall. How much of a structural nature in society is the result of failing to police narcissism? As opposed to the result of narcisstic worlding? How much of our structures and their categories have been warped to suit the narcissist’s preferences?
How much of our evolutionary success has been due to being able to hold them at bay? Are narcissists the ultimate throwback.
It is not that “fixing narcissism” is a silver bullet to heal all ills— merely that it allows us to perhaps actually get on with those structural issues, or individual issues, and/or both without the distraction of opportunistic infections in the host.
At the very least this will help us see those issues more clearly without the smog of confusion emitted by those who cannot tell the difference, let alone negotiate their way between the self and the world of others doing the same.
That in ‘practical’ real world living in our everyday worlds, narcissism should be called out and policed.
(I use the world policed to indicate how much discussion is required on this point.)
But also in any ‘theory-based” worlding or investigation: economics, political science, anthropology, social sciences generally. Perhaps only criminology has begun to do so because it is unavoidable in that discipline. Currently restricting wisdoms about narcissism to psychology and counselling (for survivors) is unwise.
As such it is then dealing with real pathologies or monsters, and not the conspiracy and gnostic stupidities that surf fear and bridle anxiety… with which narcissists can undo our urge to world and forestall our urge to fix narcisisstic process and outcomes, where they self in the name of the world as themselves., and lead us into war safely from the rear. They see the courageous as weaklings after all.
Fear might be the mind killer, but it also then rots the world when the mind dies. When agency is destroyed, removed, sacrificed and given up to emperors and their demiurges.
While elsewhere I have said that empires, like the poor, are always with us, if we policed narcissists, perhaps our word for empire would just be the word world which organises itself without conquest, and without the personification of that structure into the heroicism of an emperor. The person of the crown is one such outcome, I might argue, of the narcissist’s influence on society.
We understand nothing where we do not dealt with narcissism, not because it is core, but because we cannot see it, and so do not call it out.
It is important that for this to work we must first police the narcissists on our own side first. Even if their first response is to accuse us of being the enemy and not on their side.
*The idea of structure itself is then possibly the result of narcissistic campaigns to promote fear and uncertainty, with themselves as the cure-all saviour as a call to support their leadership. These campaigns are not a conspiracy, they are simply the result of narcissist suiting themselves. Think of it as an invisible-hand with emergent badnesses, not at an economic level of decision, but at a social worlding category creations level, the the narcissist as worldself or sweorfld.

Hello Meika,
nice to hear from you. I am wishing you Happy New Year. We Snakes were lucky in 2025;hope the 2026 Red Horse will not do us any harm;but some changers are on the way. Should accept them with courage and without fear.
Why do you think that" They[monsters] see the courageous as weaklings after all."?
Monster should see everyone as weakling, because the monster is The One and Big,others for him seem numerous, weak and little. Like Ants near the Ant-Eater. "Who hasn't asked himself at some time or other: am I a Monster or is this what it means to be a Person?"(Clarice Lispector)
I agree that "Currently restricting wisdoms about narcissism to psychology and counselling (for survivors) is unwise." Certainly, narcissism should be called out and policed by means of economics, political science, anthropology, social science generally, much discussion is required on this point. But I think speeches are useless without action.
How do you think the Monster will look like after fixing? Could you really believe that it is possible to convince the Ant-Eater to stop eat the Ants?Even being put in self-isolation,then we should suggest him another food to eat-wonder what it may be?may be he will eat our fears?
We should have the courage to hide our fears deep inside. Not to show fears and being in action are two ways to stop The Monster from eating our souls. We cannot remove Narcissits from our life or "fix" them, but it is possible to keep our souls clean from their toxic influence, trust me.
