Due to the recent wave of new subscribers (all twenty of you) I’ve decided to delay a planned post riffing on Edmund Husserl and time, and in addition, I’ve become aware of recent discussions in physics which draw a question mark around Einstein’s concept of a space-time continuum of dimensions.
Instead I use this mid-week post to re-introduce my writing.
I write from Tasmania, Australia.
I’ve been blogging on substack since early 2023, at least twice a week. This will slow down to once a week, as I begin another project over the next couple of months.
Also, for the new readers, I also self-host at whyweshould.loofs-samorzewski.com, even if I still have 50 posts to migrate there, from that first year of substack. This self-hosting allows me to create linkpost pages on a topic or theme.
The header page for these linkpost pages is at Topics & Porjects.
In particular I’d like to highlight:
Posts on the world & worlding (15 or so posts)
The… —gap. (also 15 or so, some will overlap)
Posts on the blur (a half dozen)
BTW The outcome of worlding that is religion is not a direct subject of my writing but where it does cross my path, it tends to attract more attention.
In addition I have a slow project to read and react with a quick take on various articles and papers which tackle morality with some reference to evolution, see the linkpost page morality~evolution.
This project exists because Why we should discusses what is broadly called moral philosophy. It does so on the assumption that evolution is key.
The first essay which sets this out (from 2019) is: Why we should : an introduction by memoir into the implications of the Egalitarian Revolution of the Paleolithic, or, Anyone for cake?
Other writing can be found at the sibling subdomain meika.loofs-samorzewski.com, as well as my sculpture.
